Southbound traffic on Interstate 75 was tied-up through Macon after a morning multi-car pileup blocked all lanes near downtown.

The accident happened just before 8 a.m. near Pierce Avenue.

So far, there's no word on injuries.

Callers told 13WMAZ that traffic was backed up in both directions.

Southbound traffic was reportedly backed up to Arkwright Road and beyond.

The Georgia Navigator website reported six cars were involved. At least three vehicles had to be towed away.
