Charleroi, Belgium (Sports Network) - World No. 1 star Novak Djokovic was an easy winner Friday, as his visiting Serbian team grabbed a commanding 2-0 lead against Belgium in their best-of-five first-round Davis Cup tie.

The opening Day-1 rubber saw Viktor Troicki pop 15 aces and charge from two- sets-to-love down to post a 1-6, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4, 6-4 victory over Belgian David Goffin, who recorded more service breaks (8-6) in a losing effort in a 3-hour, 51-minute affair.

In Friday's nightcap on the indoor red clay at the Charleroi's Spiroudome, the Australian Open champion Djokovic pummeled diminutive Belgian veteran Olivier Rochus 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 in a mere 1 hour, 39 minutes. Djokovic fired 20 aces and did not allow even one break-point chance in the predictable rout.

The 25-year-old Djokovic, who is now 20-7 in his career Davis Cup singles matches, led the Serbs to their lone title three years ago.

Saturday's doubles rubber has a Serbian tandem of Troicki and Nenad Zimonjic taking on a Belgian duo of Ruben Bemelmans and Steve Darcis, while Sunday's reverse singles tentatively pit Djokovic against Goffin and Troicki versus Rochus.

The Serbs are captained by Bogdan Obradovic, while the Belgians are led by Johan van Herck.

Belgium is 1-0 against Serbia, with the lone previous meeting coming back in 2005.

The Serbia-Belgium winner will face the United States-Brazil victor in April's quarterfinals.
