MACON, Ga. -Ta'Kierra Gibbs scores 22 points in 24 minutes off the bench and Shermika Harris added 15 and points and 6 assists as the Central Ga Tech Lady Cougars come from behind to beat The South Ga Tech Lady Jets 78-68 on Tuesday night in the home opener.
Eight players scored for CGTC (2-2) as the Lady Cougars trailed at halftime 40-48, then outscored the Lady Jets 38-20 in the second half. This game was the conference opener for both South Ga Tech and Central Ga Tech.
Central Ga Tech hit 28 of 57 shots from the floor, including 2 3-pointers in 5 attempts. South Ga Tech was 40 percent from the field (27-65), including only 3 for 12 from 3-point range. South Ga Tech's Nikkei Blackburn (22 points) and Portia McCray (10 points) were the only players on their teams to score in double figures.
