San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - Kyle Blanks singled with the bases loaded in the 10th inning to lift the San Diego Padres to a 4-3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies.

Philadelphia lefty Cliff Lee pitched shutout ball into the ninth inning, but was denied his 10th win of the year, mostly because Jonathan Papelbon blew his fourth save chance in an eight-day span.

Blanks had a two-run single as part of a three-run ninth inning, and the Padres rallied to snap a two-game skid.

Lee gave up eight hits and was charged with a pair of runs and fanned seven, but Papelbon suffered his fourth blown save over a five-game stretch for the first time in his career. Prior to that, Papelbon had a streak of 20 straight saves going back to last season.

In the 10th, Justin De Fratus (2-1) walked Chris Denorfia and Carlos Quentin was hit by a pitch before Chase Headley walked. Blanks then grounded an 0-1 pitch down the left field line.
