Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Scott Feldman tossed a gem and Chicago plated
five runs in the fourth inning as the Cubs routed the Texas Rangers, 9-2, at
Feldman (3-3) had Texas hitters guessing all night as he yielded just two hits
in seven scoreless frames, lowering his ERA to 1.63 over his last four starts.
Feldman also helped himself at the dish, delivering an RBI single as part of
the big fourth inning.
Anthony Rizzo and Luis Valbuena each went 3-for-4 while the former added a
home run and four RBI for the Cubs, who won after dropping their previous
four. Starlin Castro had two RBI and three runs scored.
Nick Tepesch (2-3) took the loss after getting lit up for six runs -- five
earned -- on six hits and four walks in four innings of work.
