Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Justin Morneau hit a two-run homer and
Kevin Correia spun eight scoreless frames, as the Minnesota Twins earned a
four-game series split with a 5-0 victory over the Texas Rangers on Sunday.
Correia (3-1) paved the way for Minnesota's first shutout of the season,
forcing 13 ground ball outs and allowing just six hits and one walk.
Brian Dozier and Jamey Carroll added two hits and an RBI apiece, while Chris
Parmelee contributed a sacrifice fly to the Twins' second straight win.
Mitch Moreland and Leonys Martin each had two hits, with Texas managing only
seven as a team and finishing 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position. For
the first time this season, the Rangers have dropped back-to-back games.
Texas starter Alexi Ogando (2-2) lasted six innings and was tagged for three
runs on four hits and two walks.
