MACON-- It may be America's pastime, but one baseball team is making sure it's not just a man's sport.  The Duluth Dodgers in the Women's Southern Baseball League visited Luther Williams Field Sunday to play a Macon men's team.

It was the first game for the women.  Some have played softball. Others have never held a bat.

Sunday wasn't about the score, but about getting better.

"Some girls just want to come out and network just meet other girls, have fun and exercise, all of that good stuff," said player Stacey Pinckney, "So we have a range from inexperience to experienced young ladies and it's wonderful.  We help each other out.  That's the whole thing about being on a team.  That's why I enjoy being on a team, playing a team sport."

The Dodgers are based in Atlanta, but another team is forming in Central Georgia.

Warner Robins is fielding a team, and there is still time to sign up.
