The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced Wednesday that two Georgia Tech players were named All-Americans. Outfielder Daniel Palka was named to the All-America First Team, and catcher Zane Evans was named to the Second Team.

Both players are juniors.

Palka, a South Carolina native, hit .342 on the year with an ACC-leading 17 home runs and 66 RBI. He also pitched 13 innings across eight appearances with a 0.69 ERA and 11 strike-outs.

Evans, who earned Freshman All-America honors in 2011, hit .361 with 14 home runs and 66 RBI, tied with Palka for most on the team. The Roswell High alum also earned First Team All-ACC honors.

Georgia Tech lost to Illinois in the first round, and was eliminated by top-seeded Vanderbilt after advancing through the losers' bracket in the Nashville Regional.
