CGTC Basketball Splits on the Road

Cuthbert (School Press Release)- CGTC Lady Cougars improve to 23-6 on the season with a win over Andrew College 67-46.
The Central GA Tech Lady Cougars have secured a first round playoff game at home on Tuesday, February 26th at 6PM, after a big win over Andrew College on the road.  The Lady Cougars were led by freshman standout, Ta'Kierra Gibbs (Putnam Co.) and her 14 points and 12 rebounds.  Coach Fala Bullock has had to deal with the loss of starting point guard (Amber Johnson), starting center (LaKeisha Beasley), and leading scorer (Shermika Harris) to season ending ACL injuries, but her bench has picked up the slack and the Lady Cougars are 9-2 since the injuries.  CGTC has its final home game before the playoffs on Saturday the 23rd at 4PM, and will honor its outgoing sophomore class that includes 9 ladies.

Waycross- The Central GA Tech Cougars lose there 20th game of the season after traveling to Waycross.  The Cougars fell behind 32-37 at the half and could only keep pace with the Swamp Foxes in the second half 43-43 losing 75-80.  The Cougars were led by Cameron Baker with 18 points and 8 rebounds, and Nick Paul with 12 points and 13 rebounds.  the Cougars final game of the season will be played this Saturday the 23rd at 6PM at The Cougar's Den.
