The Telfair County Lady Trojans faced the Glascock County Lady Panthers Saturday, in a Johnson County High School sponsored softball tournament, but the talk was not about the score.

Telfair County pitcher, junior Jaycee Selph, hit a home run over the fence.  As she was rounding first base, Selph pulled her hamstring and fell to the ground.  She attempted to crawl the rest of the way.  Softball rules state the coaches and players on the home run team cannot assist the player around the bases, but that the player must tag each base.

The Glascock County Lady Panthers dropped their gloves and lifted Selph up.  The whole team carried her around the bases and into the dugout.

The act of sportsmanship brought the crowd to their feet.  Members of the Lady Panthers are:  Jaleigh Kitchens, Bailey Logue, Lyn Barrow, Kennedy Sams, Morgan Stephens, Kayla Adams, Sydney Herringdine, Anna Holton, Victoria Griswell, Autumn Coxville, Casey Gunn and Aleah Hawkins.
