Antalya, Turkey (Sports Network) - The second round of the World Amateur Team Championship was suspended on Friday due to inclement weather.

Only 48 of 72 teams began second-round play after the start was delayed six hours by dangerous conditions. Six teams eventually completed their rounds before play was called for the day due to darkness.

The second round will resume on Saturday morning.

The Unites States, the first-round leader, recorded just three holes on Friday and moved to 15-under par behind birdies by Chris Williams on No. 10 and No. 11 at the par-71 Antalya Golf Club.

The Republic of Korea recorded 12 holes at the par-72 Cornelia Golf Club and moved into a tie for second place at 10-under. Canada, which scored through 15 holes, also sits in second place.

Mexico, which did not play Friday, is tied for fourth place with Norway at 9- under. Norway recorded 15 holes.

France, Netherlands and Spain did not play on Friday and remained at 7-under.

On Thursday, Williams and Justin Thomas shot 64 and 67, respectively, for the U.S. to break the all-time record for lowest 18-hole team score. Their combined mark of 13-under-par 131 bested the previous record of 132, which was accomplished three times, most recently by both Sweden and Wales in 2006.
