Senior Associate Commissioner, Matt Wilson explains the excitment, "Over the last three years, we've had 7 of our 10 teams placed in post season play. We've had a total of 13 post season wins. We got a preview of what was working last year when Mercer made a run at at CIT title. This year its even better, Mercer wins a NIT game and FGCU earns a bid to the sweet sixteen. We're the only non BCS conference in the nation to have wins in the NCAA and the NIT this year."
FGCU takes on Florida on Friday night at 10 in Arlington, Texas to see who advances to the Elite 8.
