ATLANTA -- Atlanta Falcons defensive end John Abraham was arrested at Atlantic Station on Monday evening.

According to Atlanta Police, while authorities were responding to a call regarding a female threatening to jump from a balcony at the Twelve Atlantic Station at around 6:30 p.m., Abraham entered into the taped off crime scene.

Officials said that officers "repeatedly" asked Abraham to evacuate the scene, however he refused to leave the location and was insistent on "continuing further into the scene."

Officers arrested Abraham and transported him to the Fulton County Detention Center. He was charged with Obstruction of Firefighters and Obstruction of Police Officers.

Abraham was released from jail early Tuesday morning on $7,000 bond. He had nothing to say to news media waiting outside for his release.

The Falcons released the following statement on Monday evening:

We are aware of the news regarding John Abraham. We are in the process of gathering more information and we will have no further comment at this time.

Abraham is the second Falcon to be arrested within a week.
