MACON, GA -- Mercer University's new football and lacrosse stadium is one step closer to completion with the addition of a new scoreboard.
Workers completed the installation of a multi-million dollar orange and black jumbotron in the north endzone of the stadium.
The scoreboard's big screen will be able to show replays and player profiles throughout the games.
Head football coach Bobby Lamb stated that all the stadium's seats are in place and that the upper deck stands are complete.
"A lot of little things have to go on the last week of July, and hopefully by August 1st, we can present this stadium as one of the most magnificent [and] beautiful in America."
The majority of the remaining work is landscaping.
Mercer will open the season in their new 10,000 capacity seat stadium on August 31st against Reinhardt University at 6:00 PM.
