Leon leads suspended Colombia Championship

Bogota, Colombia (SportsNetwork.com) - Hugo Leon carded a 5-under 66 on Thursday and stood atop the leaderboard when the first round of the Colombia Championship was suspended due to inclement weather.

Leon, a two-time winner on the PGA Tour Canada, is searching for his first Web.com Tour title.

Steve LeBrun, Kyle Stough and Carlos Ortiz posted 4-under 67s and were joined in second place at Alexandre Rocha, who was 4-under par through nine holes.

Billy Mayfair, a former Tour Championship winner on the PGA Tour, opened with a 3-under 68. He shares sixth place with Alex Cejka, Andrew D. Putnam, Philip Pettitt, Jr. and Zack Fischer. Blayne Barber is also minus-3 through seven holes on the Fundadores Course at Bogota Country Club.

Play was called for the day at 4:30 p.m. ET after one-third of inch fell in less than two hours.
