On Saturday, Central Georgians were able to drop off old prescription drugs as part of a national drug take-back day.
In Macon, the Macon Police Department said they collected 162 pounds of prescription drugs, according to a press release.
The drug take-back took place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The event is annual and sponsored by the DEA. It helps foster safe for the disposal of unused and old prescription drugs instead of having them thrown away or flushed down the toilet.
