ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta police say a man is in critical condition after a driver intentionally ran him over and parked the car on top of him.
Lt. Paul Guerrucci says the victim and suspect were at a gathering in southwest Atlanta when a fight escalated Saturday night.
Police say a driver hit the man and then backed over him while he was lying on the ground. The driver's identity has not been released, and police say the car was still on top of the man when they arrived on the scene.
Authorities say a passenger in the car held the driver on the scene and the victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
Police say the man is in extremely critical condition.
