The Greek Festival is taking place at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox church in Macon. It's an annual event that highlights the greek culture in central Georgia. Organizers say this is the 6th year they've held the event.
The festival offers traditional greek foods, music and shopping.
Organizers say the festival allows them to raise money for activities at the church and it's a great way to bring out crowds for family entertainment. "We're excited to be able to offer something different for central Georgia and for Macon. I think that's one of the great things that the Greek church has to offer," says host Henry Goss.
The greek festival will run Saturday until 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m at the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Macon.
