SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - A 19-year-old man has been arrested after police said he shot at an officer in Savannah.
Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Julian Miller Friday said 19-year-old Quintavious Lee has been charged with multiple offenses including aggravated assault on a police officer and weapons violations.
Miller says Lee, of Port Wentworth, was being questioned along with another man who fit the description of suspects of two robberies in the area. While the other man was handcuffed and resisted officers searching him for weapons, Miller says Lee ran. The teen dropped a gun, picked it up and tried firing at police but the gun misfired. He was taken into custody shortly after.
It's unclear if Lee has an attorney.
