Based on information from Dublin police, this story originally incorrectly identified the victim, Darrin Taylor.
Dublin and Laurens County investigators are looking into whether two gang-related homicides in three days are connected.
Dublin Police Chief Wayne Cain told 13WMAZ the first was a Saturday night home-invasion-style robbery and shooting.
In the second, he said, a man was found shot to death outside Dudley Tuesday night.
The chief identified the first victim as 21-year old Dwight Scott. According to the police, Scott was robbed at his East Mary Street home, then shot at point-blank range.
He said two people are being held for questioning in that case, although they have not been charged.
"After talking to numerous people, we have taken two persons into custody. Both are convicted felons that were found to be possessing weapons when we stopped them in a vehicle," Cain said.
The two both had outstanding warrants against them, Cain said.
In what Cain said may or may not be connected, the GBI and Laurens County Sheriff's Department is working on the shooting death of 23-year old Darrin Taylor.
Taylor's body was found outside Dudley city limits around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Police aren't sure if the man was killed there, or shot in Dublin and then taken to the county, Cain said.
Witnesses saw Taylor in Dublin earlier in the evening..
Cain said his department assisted in picking up three persons of interest in the case. The three did not have pending charges against them.
