A Bleckley County woman that died in a head-on collision with an ambulance has now been identified.
Georgia State Patrol Sergeant DeLoach identified her as Shirley Evodine Hodge.
GSP says the ambulance was traveling from its Dublin office to its Cochran location and was not responding to a call at the time of the accident.
Sgt. Greg Evans with the Bleckley County Sheriff's Department says the accident happened Thursday morning around 7:30 on Highway 26 eastbound.
He could not rule out weather conditions, but said officials did not think weather was to blame.
No other injuries were reported.
The accident remains under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
