They call themselves the Swag Patrol.
"It was just an idea that we came up with to just help people in the community," said Amy Etheridge with Robins Federal Credit Union.
Etheridge says their mission is to help in any way they can.
"Sometimes we scare them, sometimes it's the greatest thing that's happened to them," said Etheridge.
For Alakanecia Green, the Swag Patrol's random act of kindness happened at a Macon gas station Friday.
"This is a life saver right here, right now. I was surprised because gas is so high, so when they said they'd fill her up, I was ready to go," said Green. "It's done a lot. I can get more done. I'm paying bills for my aunt so now I don't have to worry about putting gas in the car for today."
Another lady at the same gas station also benefited from the Swag Team's generosity.
"I was amazed. I mean of all days, I've had the most frazzled day ever, I left my purse at home so this is awesome," said Kristine Young of Forsyth.
Eheridge says the goal is to spread a little cheer in hopes that people will keep the chain of kindness going and pay it forward.
The Swag Patrol has already made appearances in Peach and Emanuel counties. They say more appearances are scheduled for the remainder of the year.
