SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) -- A south Georgia woman says she waited four months to claim her $52,000 lottery prize because she had other things to do.
Beadie Smith of Valdosta tells the Savannah Morning News that she didn't claim her prize from the June 4 drawing until recently because "I was busy doing other things."
Smith matched five winning numbers in the "Win for Life" drawing, winning $1,000 a week for a year, totaling $52,000.
Smith and her husband, George Rowan, said they don't have any immediate plans for the money.
