HOUSTON (CBS News) - A company is selling a female zombie doll that bleeds fake blood when shot.
Named 'Alexa' the doll is a life-size mannequin that resembles a woman. She's dressed in a skimpy white crop top. The doll retails for $89.95.
CBS Houston reports the 'Alexa' doll is one in a range of life-size zombie mannequins sold by Zombie Industries, which displayed its products at last weekend's National Rifle Association convention in Houston.
The 'Bleeding Zombie Targets' range also includes life-size mannequins called 'Terrorist', 'Nazi', and 'Rocky'.
'Rocky' garnered attention at the NRA convention, where the doll's appearance was compared to President Barack Obama.
"Someone from the NRA came by and asked us to remove it" a Zombie Industries booth worker was quoted as saying by BuzzFeed. "They thought it looked too much like President Obama."
The doll was removed from display, but reportedly still sold at the convention.
Zombie Industries website promotes the dolls as "Tactical Bleeding Zombie Targets" designed "to help YOU prepare for the next Zombie outbreak".
"Each Zombie is manufactured in the USA and is hand painted to accurately resemble an infected human that just finished gnawing your neighbor Zed's leg, to give you that realistic look so you really feel the hate," the website says.
"We do not discriminate in our product selection. In an effort to maximize the Zombie preparedness of our customers, we make products that represent all genders and race, and even have animals or aliens to choose from.
The website says all products represent "fictitious characters and are works of fiction".
"Names, characters, stories, places and incidents are products of the author's imagination and are used fictitiously. Any resemblance to actual persons (living or dead), events or locales is entirely coincidental."
Among the videos on the Zombie Industries website is a video showing armed men 'hunting' Alexa.
