Robins Air Force Base union officials are planning rallies outside of U.S. Rep. Austin Scott's (R) Warner Robins office.
Charlie Tripis, executive vice president of AFGE Local 987, which represents base employees, characterized the planned gatherings as "informational rallies" to bring attention to the looming questions surrounding sequestration.
"The issue is sequestration is not over," Tripis told 13WMAZ Monday. "And what's looming ahead is the debt ceiling and we need to get a message out to our congressmen that they need to act."
The rallies will be Thursday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Scott's Warner Robins, 230 Margie Drive.
