You might say Macon will be popping.
Macon resident and Grammy-nominated percussionist Steve Moretti joins up with Grammy award-winning conductor Matt Catingub to bring an orchestra called Macon Pops to Central Georgia this Fall, according to a release.
Monday, organizers announced a three-part concert series coming to Macon starting Oct. 26.
The performances aim to showcase a "broad musical spectrum" from big-band era style music through the new millennium.
Concert-goers can expect a "top-shelf nightclub" when they enter the Macon City Auditorium and will be able to dance the night away, according to the release.
The Macon Pops series continues on Dec. 7 and March 1.
Tickets will be available for sale starting on Sept. 1 on Ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-653-8000. There will be a variety of prices and balcony seats will be $10.
