Macon Man Dies in House Fire

Bibb County Coroner says 50-year-old Terry Floyd died Sunday morning when his house caught on fire.  A neighbor called the fire department when he smelled smoke.  When the neighbor went to check on Floyd, he saw his body near the front door.

The fire happened at 157 Stonewall Place, which is located off of Vineville Avenue.  According to Jones, the victim is the son of Donald Floyd, a Twiggs County Commissioner.

We could not reach fire officials for further information.
