Over the last few months, donations have dropped to the Houston County Meals on Wheels program.

They say a combination of less government funding, and sequestration affecting the community near the base is leading to the drop.

Meals on Wheels says they have around a $10,000 deficit.  Currently, there are more than 100 senior citizens on their waiting list.

Sunday, the group organized a horseback poker run fundraiser at the Silver Spur Riding Club in East Dublin.

More than 50 riders paid to ride the trails while playing poker to raise money for Meals on Wheels.

Organizers say the money will be used for their operation costs for their 10 delivery routes around Houston County.
