The two largest healthcare systems in Central Georgia plan to form a partnership.
Houston Healthcare in Houston County and the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon plan to announce an agreement for a "strategic alignment," according to a release.
Monday's news release did not describe the partnership.
The efforts "are focused on increased excellence in patient care and medical education."
The Medical Center of Central Georgia is the second largest hospital in Georgia and is a designated Level I Trauma Center.
Houston Healthcare operates the Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins as well as the Perry Hospital.
