The Georgia State Fair kicked off Thursday at Central City Park in Macon, featuring a petting zoo, rides, carnival food, and an exhibit on monkeys that ride dogs like jockeys.

Last year, the fair ran for 10 days and featured musical acts like Ginuwine and the Bellamy Brothers.

This year, however, fair-goers only get four days and it appears music has been eliminated altogether.

Entertainment this year includes the return of Nojoe's Clown Circus, the Marvelous Mutts (a self-described "canine spectacular") and the Banana Derby, featuring "America's favorite monkey jockeys."
