Woman Reports Attempted Kidnapping

    A woman told Macon police that a man tried to pull her into a car late Saturday night.

  It happened happened around 11 p.m. on the 2700 block of Village Green Lane in south Macon.

   According to a news release, the woman says a black four-door vehicle passed her slowly several times while she was walking to Wilshire Woods Apartments.

    Feeling unsafe, she took shelter until she thought the vehicle was gone.

    She continued to her destination until a male jumped out of a parked silver car and grabbed her.

   Police say the woman had on a black jacket and backpack and was able to wrangle herself free and escape.

    Officers located the backpack and jacket, but the man's whereabouts  are unknown.

    Police say the victim did not know the man.
