Cherry Blossom-goers, you're in for a treat this weekend. You'll find everything from fireworks to music to theatre in the area this weekend. Check out this week's 13 Things to serve as your weekend guide.

Food Truck Frenzy at Third Street Park has been canceled due to expected weather.
The Cherry Blossom Festival street party has been moved indoors to Macon Auditorium.

1. Join in on an Easter Egg Hunt at East Macon Park Saturday. Sponsored by Kingdom Life, Inc. families can enjoy food, games, music and door prizes. That's from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

2. Saturday evening you'll want to get downtown for the Cherry Blossom Festival Street Party where rock band .38 Special and The Dirty Guv-nahs perform. Saturday, 5-11 p.m. at Macon City Auditorium. Tickets are $12 and you can buy them online.

3. Then through Sunday, you can check out the 45th Annual Old Book Sale. Over 100K books on sale at the Macon Centreplex. Open 11-5, free admission.

4. Also on Sunday, delight your taste buds in the Food Truck Frenzy. Various food companies serve their cuisine out of trucks at Third Street Park from 11-6 p.m. (between Mulberry and Walnut streets.) Free admission with on-site beer sales.

5. Sunday also features  Cherry Blossom's free concert featuring bluegrass music at Central City Park, 11:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.

6. End your weekend with Cherry Blossom Festival's Grand Finale at Wesleyan College Sunday.  Free, starts at 5 p.m., fireworks at dusk. Picnics and blankets encouraged.

7. If you're in Forsyth, check out the yard sale at First Baptist Church's parking lot. Opens at 8 a.m. Saturday.

8. Georgia College Theatre presents the play "Time Stands Still," a story of two lovers who return from Iraq. Show is Thursday, 8-10 p.m.

9. Still craving theatre this weekend? Check out the musical "G.R.I.T.S" at the Grand Opera House in Macon. Shows are Thursday and Friday.

10.  Celebrate the Ocmulgee Thursday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at The Hummingbird with drinks and pizza. See details.

11. Turkey hunting season opens Saturday! 

12. Keep your fitness up this weekend with the Curry Scurry 5K. The event, sponsored by Mercer Service Scholars Program, benefits Trivandrum Fuller Center for Housing in India. Race registration begins Saturday at 7:30 a.m. with the race start at 9 a.m. Read race details.

13. Enjoy a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater at the New Perry Hotel. This weekend's entertainment, entitled "Death, Democracy, and Distrust" features dinner and entertainment for $37.50. That's Friday at 7 p.m.
