UPDATE: The USGS has amended its earthquake report to show two earthquakes, one registering a 6.3 magnitude and the other registering a 4.7 about 14 minutes after the first quake.
The USGS reports a duo of earthquakes struck off the southwest coast of California Friday morning.
Early estimates from the USGS show the quakes coming in at 6.1 and 6.4 in magnitude. The strongest shook in the Pacific at 5:36 a.m. EST.
Both were recorded in shallow depths.
The Associated Press reports no tsunami warning has been issued for the California coast.
