Bibb Sheriff's Investigators Recover Large Cache Of Weapons

Bibb County sheriff's deputies have arrested three suspects for breaking into three south Bibb houses and stealing a large number of firearms.

James Daniel Hinson, 24; Jennifer Marie Arnold, 21; and Larry Darnell Jackson, 26, were arrested at a motel near I-75 and Highway 247. All three are in custody at the Bibb County jail.

The sheriff's department says they've recovered 14 firearms, more than $12,000 in cash, and about $20,000 in jewelry, which was allegedly taken in the break-ins.

Sheriff's spokesman Lt. Gregory Rachel said a large number of firearms were taken but investigators were able to recover the items.

One of the victims, Bruce Bennett of Macon, was on hand at the press conference to speak about the arrests.

"Due to the help of my neighbors, information on the vehicle, and people they were able to apprehend them within 36 hours," Bennett said.

Hinson, Arnold and Jackson have been charged with theft by receiving. Hinson and Arnold have also been charged with burglary. Jackson was also charged with a Superior Court probation violation.
