Authorities are investigating whether two separate shootings that injured five people are linked to the same fight at a Bibb County nightclub early Sunday.

The first shooting happened outside Scarlet Carson's nightclub on Cavalier Drive around 3 a.m., according to a Bibb County Sheriff's news release.

The release says three Macon men were shot during the fight.  Police say they are: Marvin J. King, 25; Kendrick Hill, 24; and Willie Currie, 23.

As of Sunday afternoon, Bibb Sheriff's Sgt. Sean DeFoe said Hill was discharged and the other two were in stable condition.

Macon police say several minutes later two more men were shot.

Sidney Bishop, 21, and Jadarius Shinholster, 21, were shot in the back after they left Scarlet Carson's, the release said.  The men were shot as they were driving around Mercer University Drive and Columbus Road.

The men who shot at Bishop and Shinholster were driving a gray Nissan Altima or Maxima with medium tinted windows and 20-inch chrome rims, police say.  The injuries are believed to be non-life threatening and both are in stable condition.

The news release says Bishop, Shinholster and another person were also involved in a fistfight at Scarlet Carson's.  Police are trying to find out whether the two shootings are related.
