Viewers in Central Georgia help drive our news coverage here at 13WMAZ, and there are plenty of ways for you to get involved.
Tori wrote to us because she recently wrote a book and wanted to know how to get information about it on the news.
"It starts with a phone call or an e-mail, because we have to know what the event is, and when it's happening to see what events and what dates might be available," said Tyler Pearson, 13WMAZ's Mornin' Anchor.
He schedules guests for the midday newscasts.
"The focus on the midday show is that we want to have events that are available to the community as a whole, something that anyone can go to," said Pearson.
He says the newscasts fill up pretty quickly so trying to book at least a month in advance helps.
If you're interested in becoming a midday guest you can contact the station at 478-752-NEWS.
We're also looking for Kid Creations, artwork from children 18 and under that we show on Eyewitness News Mornin'. You can mail those to the station at 1314 Gray Highway, Macon, Georgia 31211. You can also e-mail us at EyewitnessNews@13wmaz.com.
Weekend Mornin', another newscast that features guests, looks for folks who can demonstrate things, or bring along items to engage the viewers and be more interactive.
"We're always looking for guests," said Jason Lewis who produces the show.
He says they're also looking for you to break out your recipe box and share it with Central Georgia.
"You come on the show with your recipe, we'll put it online for people that interested watching at home," said Lewis.
Regular cooking guests get two four-minute segments but if you want to start off slowly, Lewis says you can work up to that if you'd like to return.
Again, you can reach the station at 478-752-NEWS. You can also e-mail Weekend Mornin' directly at WeekendMornin@13wmaz.com.

"Every community event that's uploaded on our calendar is available for public views on 13wmaz.com," said Don Buckindail 13WMAZ's New Media Manager.
That's true for pictures and videos that you submit as well, and with enough time for planning you can join us on 13WMAZ and 13WMAZ.com.
Keep in mind that we have many people hoping to land spots on our newscasts and following the suggestions from our staff does not guarantee that you'll be able appear on the air or that our team will cover your story.
