If you been on the road for years, there may be some driving rules you could be a bit rusty on.
A viewer wrote to 13WMAZ asking, "Why is it that I see people (including a host of police officers) making a left turn on red at the intersection of I-75 and Hardeman/Forsyth Road? Is it really OK to make a left turn on red if the street is a one-way?"
Captain Charles Gunnells with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office says it depends.
Before getting behind the wheel, drivers should remember the rules of the road.
And on Forsyth Street in Macon, when to turn can be key.
Captain Gunnells says you can make a left turn on a red light if you're turning from a one way onto another one way street.
So drivers who stop at the light and make sure there's no oncoming traffic before turning at that intersection are good to go.
Captain Gunnells says there's only two places in Macon where you can make a left turn on a red light. One is at the Forsyth Street intersection just off I-75, and the other is at the Mulberry and Third Street intersection
