Two men accused of a murder in Wrightsville were arrested Wednesday afternoon.
According to a news release, Jarvis Miller and Demarcio Williams, both of East Dublin, were arrested in East Dublin around 6:45 p.m.
They're accused of the June 28 murder of James Akeridge in Wrightsville, the GBI says.
Greg Harvey, special agent in charge of the GBI's Eastman office, says someone came to Akeridge's door about 11:30 that night and shot him. Akeridge later died at a hospital after talking to police.
Miller and Williams were arrested Wednesday after a traffic stop on Morgan Street, the GBI says.
The search for the suspects led officers to Fairview Park Hospital Wednesday afternoon, according to Capt. Stan Wright of the Laurens County sheriff's office.
He said a tipster reported that Williams was at the hospital; the sheriff's department and others set up a perimeter around Fairview Park while they searched inside. The suspect was not found there.
Wrightsville police did not return phone calls about the case.
