THE BIBB COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE IS ASKING THE G-B-I TO INVESTIGATE WHETHER ONE OF ITS INVESTIGATORS LIED UNDER OATH.

ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY NANCY SCOTT MALCOR SAYS SHE HAD TO DROP AT LEAST THREE CASES WHERE INVESTIGATOR ALLIE SECKINGER WAS A KEY WITNESS.

AS VANESSA RUFFES SHOWS YOU...THE MOTHER OF ONE ALLEGED VICTIM SAYS SHE'S WORRIED HER DAUGHTER WILL NEVER GET JUSTICE NOW.

Vanessa Ruffes "Bibb County Sheriff Jerry Modena says he started an internal affairs investigation on Seckinger after receiving a verbal complaint last week. He says because of a conflict between the investigation's findings and that verbal complaint, he turned to the GBI."

Modena "We're here to enforce the law. We've proven over the years that we will enforce it against anyone in office that breaks the law."

ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY NANCY SCOTT-MALCOR...WHO WAS HANDLING SHERRY'S DAUGHTER'S CASE...SAYS SHE'S HAD TO DROP AT LEAST THREE CASES WHERE SECKINGER WOULD BE A KEY WITNESS.

SHE SAYS TWO...INCLUDING SHERRY'S DAUGHTER'S CASE...INVOLVE CHILD MOLESTATION.

MALCOR SAYS HER OFFICE HAS CONTACTED THE ALLEGED VICTIMS' FAMILIES TO TELL THEM THE CASES ARE DISMISSED.

SHERRY SAYS HER 19-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER WAS MOLESTED AT AGE 6.... THE GIRL NEVER REACHED OUT TO ANYONE UNTIL LAST YEAR. SHERRY SAYS SHE HOPES IT HASN'T BEEN IN VAIN.

Sherry "After hearing the news today, I feel like she's in the same boat that she was in before that glimmer of hope that she had."

DISTRICT ATTORNEY HOWARD SIMMS SAYS HE'LL HAVE A BETTER IDEA WHICH CASES WILL BE AFFECTED LATER IN THE WEEK.

SECKINGER IS ON LEAVE WITH PAY UNTIL THE G-B-I INVESTIGATION IS FINISHED.

A COCHRAN LIGHTING PLANT PLANS TO LAY OFF ABOUT 500 EMPLOYEES.

HILL...THE PRESIDENT OF THE LOCAL INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS UNION...SAYS HE GOT THIS FOLDER FROM ACUITY BRANDS INCORPORATED...THE COMPANY THAT OWNS THE LITHONIA LIGHTING PLANT...SAYING IT PLANNED TO LAY OFF ABOUT 500 EMPLOYEES DUE TO COST.

"They just throwed it one us, they gave us this form of what they're plans are and that was it."

HE SAYS THE LAYOFFS AFFECT MANAGERS...PLANT WORKERS...AND CAFETERIA EMPLOYEES.

Jennifer Bellamy, Eyewitness News:

"Hill says 80 percent of the work done in this factory will go to Mexico. The rest will stay here in the states but he says right now his concern is the 75 percent of his union workers in single parent households losing their only source of income."

HILL SAYS HE'LL MEET WITH THE COMPANY NEXT WEEK TO TALK ABOUT THE UNION'S CONTRACT...BUT AS PRESIDENT...HE SAYS IT'S HIS JOB TO LOOK OUT FOR EVERYONE WORKING IN THE PLANT.

"We got a lot of husbands and wives that works out there together we got a lot of family members that live in the same household that works out there that will be impacted as well."

ACCORDING TO HILL THE PLANT WILL KEEP ON ABOUT 215 PEOPLE...BUT HE DOESN'T EXPECT THAT WILL LAST....AND HE THINK HIS 15 YEARS WITH THE COMPANY...WILL SOON AMOUNT TO NOTHING.

A WARNER ROBINS MAN APPEARED TO BE DEAD AFTER A TRAFFIC ACCIDENT...BUT RESCUE WORKERS REVIVED HIM.

SHE SAYS 49-YEAR-OLD CHRISTOPHER MCCARY IS STILL IN CRITICAL CONDITION TODAY.
