Wednesday afternoon, two crime scene vans were parked outside the Barrister's Hall apartment complex where Lauren Giddings and Stephen McDaniel used to live.
Investigators and crime scene technicians spent about 3 hours in apartment 2, which belonged to Giddings. Macon Police spokeswoman Jami Gaudet said they were taking more on-scene photos.
While the investigators were working in apartment two, a new Mercer Law School student was moving into apartment 4, which used to belong to Stephen McDaniel, the man charged with Lauren Giddings' murder.
She identified herself only as Sarah, and said she was aware of Giddings death and McDaniel's charges. She said she felt sorry but was excited to start law school.
