The co-owner of the Barristers Hall apartments in Macon says she's frustrated with the ongoing police investigation at her property.

Boni Bush today told 13WMAZ's Candace Adorka that she has no problem with how police are handling the Lauren Giddings homicide investigation.

But she says the regular searches are affecting her business. Four of the complex's 16 units aren't available to rent.

Three are sealed by police, while they investigate Giddings' death last month.

They've searched three times, and Bush says police have told her to expect more.

She's living in the fourth, she says, to reassure tenants and their parents who are concerned about safety there.

The apartment complex houses students at Mercer University Law School, right across Georgia Avenue.

Giddings, a 27-year-old law student, lived in Apartment 2, and Stephen McDaniel, whom police call a person of interest in the case, lived next door at Apartment 4. Police have also searched a vacant apartment downstairs.

They've not said why they searched or what evidence they removed from the apartments.

Candace Adorka will have more on this story on Eyewitness News at 5 and 6.
