Volunteers from churches based throughout Georgia and Florida are working to rebuild some homes in Macon.
Over 200 students and adults from the River of Life Mission Camp are working on 25 homes in 5 neighborhoods.
Their work includes several repair jobs like siding, painting, and building wheelchair ramps.
Elaine Hardison, development director for Rebuilding Macon, says River of Life has teamed up with them for 10 years.
She says the group shares a concern for helping low income families and the elderly.
"They tend to be the ones who sometimes need the most help, so at a time in their life where they've worked so hard and now they need help, it's nice to be able to help them," said Hardison.
The mission group will continue working in Macon for the next 2 days.
Rebuilding Macon will repair homes throughout the year.
