13WMAZ's Katelyn Heck and Randall Savage spoke with elected officials around Central Georgia to get their opinions on the Supreme Court ruling about the Voting Rights Act.

State representative Robert Dickey, a Republican from Musella, says that the ruling keeps future elections from being impeded by rulings from the Department of Justice.

Representative James Beverly, a Democrat, says the county needs to wait for the Department of Justice's ruling before acting, giving time for the Board of Elections and others to analyze the ruling.
