Kids at Sky Camp in Eastman built rockets, assembled gliders and launched a balloon into the atmosphere.
Its ascent took 1 hour and 42 minutes, reaching 98,000 feet in the air. But it only took 29 minutes to fall, landing in Pulaski County.
Kids also got to sit in the control tower and watch planes land. The three day camp is housed at the Middle Georgia State College's School of Aviation's Eastman Campus.
It wraps up on thursday when students will get to fly in an airplane and launch their rockets.
