It's been a week since the tragedy at the Boston Marathon, but a group of locals came out Monday to prove the running spirit won't be stopped.
Run Fit Sports on Forsyth Road in Macon held a run to benefit a charity for Boston Marathon victims.
More than a hundred runners came out to support One Fund Boston.
They ran or walked 2.62 miles, a tenth the distance in a marathon like the one in Boston.
T-shirts for the cause sold for $20, and the runners themselves were encouraged to wear blue and yellow, the official Boston Marathon colors, to show their support.
