Five candidates are now vying for the District 2 seat for the Macon-Bibb consolidated government.
Paul Bronson announced Wednesday he will also join the commissioners race.
Bronson says he has several ideas to improve the consolidated community, like providing more outlets to technology, advancing healthcare education, and dropping crime rates.
He says a lot of those changes will start with reaching out to the city's youth.
"My goal is to instill in youth that they are agents of change. We have to secure their future, and if elected as a Macon-Bibb commissioner, I will ensure that their future is secured," says Bronson.
District 2 includes the downtown area, East Macon, North Macon and part of South Macon.
So far, Bronson will face Brandon Carlisle, Irving Martinez, and current city council members Henry Ficklin and Larry Schlesinger.
