A new date for a relay to help a Haitian teen has been rescheduled for April 6th at the Industrial Children's home in Macon.

It was all organized by Macon teen, Marisol Ortiz, to benefit a Haitian student who she said changed her life.

Ortiz met Onde Jean-Louis while volunteering to help rebuild homes in Haiti. She said she is determined to make sure he gets the help he needs to accomplish his dreams to become a pediatrician.

They are raising money for college tuition for Jean-Louis who wants to go to college and to help children in Haiti, but the tuition, around $4,000 a year is too much.

The Relay for Onde 5K is now Saturday, April 6th at Industrial Children's home in Macon. The fun run starts at 9:00 a.m., and registration is at 7:30 a.m. The price to participate ranges from $15.00 to $25.00. It's open to everyone.

For more information, contact Marisol at mds11511@mountdesales.net.
