Spring is almost here, which means the Cherry Blossom festival is right around the corner.
This year's festival will welcome fresh blossoms, and a new Cherry Blossom President.
The 31st Cherry Blossom festival will continue the tradition of celebrating spring in Macon, alongside the 300,000 Yoshino Cherry trees throughout the city.
Jake Ferro accepted a promotion from interim to full-time president and CEO of the festival.
"It's a great community event for Middle Georgia," said Ferro. "It brings people together of all demographics and all ages. There's activities during the 10 day festival that are just wonderful to participate in. I'm excited to be a part of it."
The Cherry Blossom Festival kicks off in three weeks, starting on March 15th and running through the 24th. Tickets are already on sale.
