You've seen the stickers and perhaps the slogans posted in area businesses that say "I Love Macon."
It's a grassroots effort that first developed a year ago.
Created by five of Macon Magazine's Under 40 Young Leaders, it aims to strengthen Macon's positive image and encourage young professionals to choose the Central Georgia city as a promising place to live and work.
Dozens of people inked a pledge committing to support development and community projects in town.
There's also a pledge that you can sign at ilovemacon.org.
Tuesday, the city's government made its own support official, proclaiming January 8th "I Love Macon Day" at an event outside City Hall.
Campaign co-founder Heather Bowman said, "There's so many reasons I love Macon. I'm not from here, but when I came here, I felt right at home right away."
