Report: Teen Shot in the Back on Lamont Avenue

Police say they are investigating a drive-by shooting that injured a high school student  in west Macon.  

According to a police report, Corey Jackson, 18, was shot in the back as he talked to two friends in front of 1174 Lamont Ave. around 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday.

Witnesses told police they heard multiple shots coming from a white Acura Integra with darkly tinted windows.

Police found four shell casings from a .380-caliber handgun. A witness told police the shots came from the driver's side back window.

The report says Jackson was able to run inside the house. 

His friends told 13WMAZ Jackson was taken to the hospital where he is recovering.
